MENA Geothermal named among 500 fastest-growing companies in the Middle East and North Africa
Ramallah: Arabia 500 has selected MENA Geothermal, only company specialized in geothermal heating and cooling energy in the MENA region, to be added to their list of the 500 fastest-growing companies in the Middle East and North Africa region, Turkey, and Pakistan. The winners were announced during the Second Global Summit on Entrepreneurship that was held in Istanbul, Turkey on December 3rd 2011. The conference was attended by the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Arabia 500, launched under the Patronage of Queen Rania of Jordan AllWorld Network, was established to bring to worldwide attention the growth companies of MENA, Turkey, and Pakistan. The Arabia 500 will be the first definitive record of the fastest growing, most dynamic entrepreneurs in the region. By shining a light on these emerging business leaders, the Arabia 500 attempts to improve access to capital and markets for entrepreneurs, provide real time feedback to policy makers, point the way forward for large scale job creation and put momentum behind entrepreneurs as they create the next economy for their countries and regions. The AllWorld Network uses international standards for evaluating companies and selecting winners .
Commenting on MENA Geothermal selection to the Arabia 500, Khaled Al Sabawi, the Founder and President of MENA Geothermal stated, “In only 2 and half years our team at MENA Geothermal has turned a small Palestinian green energy company into one of the leading green energy businesses in the region. We installed the first geothermal system in the entire region here in Ramallah, patented and innovated the installation of geothermal systems, received the National Energy Globe Award in 2008, and went on to installing the largest geothermal system in the region at the American University in Madaba, Jordan.” Al Sabawi added, “After all the hard work and effort that went into building MENA Geothermal, we sincerely appreciate being listed as one of the regions fastest growing, most dynamic companies by Arabia 500. Out of all the countries listed in the Arabia 500, Turkey ranked first rank with 117 companies listed, Pakistan ranked 2nd with 70 companies listed, and Saudi Arabia ranked 3rd with 40 companies listed. Only two companies were selected in Palestine, one of which was MENA Geothermal.
